Hi I'm Cullen

I grew up in the Texas Hill Country, I am an Eagle Scout and a Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. I play the tuba and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the boondocks of Texas. I am an avid hunter and fisherman and an excellent marksman. I am an Eagle Scout, I marched in our high school marching band, and I have devoted four years to obtaining a Black Belt in the Korean art of Tang Soo Do. I like almost any kind of music, as well as guns and spending time with friends. After my mission, I will attend BYUI and will major in Biology. While in school, I plan to marry a virtuous daughter of God in the House of the Lord. After BYUI I will move back to Texas to continue school and obtain my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, and will start a business in the Central Texas area. I'd love to have about four children and a happy marriage, as I know being a great dad and husband is one of the most important things you can accomplish in life. I wouldn't mind having an Aston Martin and a nice Tuscan style home in the Texas hill country some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into an active Mormon family. My methodist/catholic grandparents had a young family when my grandfather was diagnosed with a fatal testicular cancer. Some young full-time missionaries knocked on their door, and shared the promise of family bonds that last beyond death through Christ's power. This eternal truth brought hope to their lives at a time of despair and uncertainty. His life was spared after receiving a blessing and laying on if hands administered by those same young men, in the name of Jesus Christ. My father, born into a good family of minimal religious background, was attracted to the happiness and close family bonds he saw in my mother's home. He wanted that same happiness in his own life, and began to meet with missionaries, where after much prayer and study, he decided to follow Jesus' example and be baptized himself. As for me, I have decided, at a very young age, to follow God and His commandments. I have gained a personal testimony that this Church is true, that this is the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and that God still speaks to His servants in these latter days.

How I live my faith

Soon, I will have the opportunity to serve the Lord on a full-time, two year mission in Europe. I have served as a ward missionary (sharing Christ's teachings with those in my hometown), hometeacher (assigned to minister to specific families in our congregation, visit, and serve them), and assistant Scoutmaster (in the Boy Scouts) and recently I have been assigned to serve as a youth leader.
