Hi I'm Ben

Born in California, raised in Las Vegas.

About Me

I was born in California and primarily raised in Nevada. I recently graduated from high school with a specialization in engineering. I am leaving for a two year mission in South America then I will come home and head off to university to study engineering and architecture. My family is very musically oriented with all of my family members playing an instrument or being involved in some musical program. Whether it's orchestra, band, or choir, I have enjoyed it all and I believe that music brings peace, happiness, and improves the lives of those who practice it. I also enjoy playing basketball and tennis with my friends in the evenings and on the weekends.

Why I am a Mormon

It is here in Christ's church that I feel peace. His church focuses only on attributes that uplift and strengthen, and there is no principle to harm or cause contention in the world. By going to church, reading the scriptures, and praying directly to God, I find the strength to face whatever challenges are thrown at me, day after day. I know that someone is always there looking after me, both easing my burdens and challenging my capabilities in order to make me a better person. I know that it is through Christ that we can be with our families forever and return to live in the presence of God.

How I live my faith

Up to this point, I have served in all the young men's group presidencies, and I have the opportunity to plan activities, serve the members of my groups, and even teach lessons. I try my best to be an example to those around me and always be a beacon of Christ's church. I believe that we have amazing abilities to raise others up and help them through their struggles. And through this support we will then be able to find assistance when we are in need. I love reaching out to the community and serving in whatever capacity is available. This often manifests itself in yard work, home care, visits to the elderly, and even some caroling around the holidays.
