Hi I'm Austin Cooper

I grew up in Pennsylvania, I will be serving a mission for two years, I am Mormon

About Me

I am an 18 year old athlete. I love sports. I play volleyball and soccer. I was a captain for both sports on my high school teams. I have received various awards for sports in high school. I love to read, my favorite author is Rick Riordan. I am an eagle scout. I will be leaving soon to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. Since joining the church I have seen the direction of my life change. The church has helped me become the person I know my Heavenly Father would want me to be. Through church guidelines, council from leaders, commandments, and friends I have become a better person. I have my agency to choose and even though I still make mistakes I can be forgiven of them through the atonement. One of the quotes I have recently been pondering a lot from one of the church leaders is "No life is so shattered that it cannot be restored." I have felt shattered and broken but through the atonement we can be restored. Even though many obstacles stand in the way if we endure to the end we will be blessed. I know that there is a modern prophet called of god with the proper priesthood authority here on the earth today. I know that families are eternal.

How I live my faith

In my congregation I am a priest quorum first assistant. I serve as part of this presidency over the 16-18 year old young men. I help plan activities and lessons that suit the people in the quorum. I am also preparing to serve a mission. I will be leaving soon to the Utah Salt Lake City West Mission to serve and preach the gospel in Spanish.
