Hi I'm Kathleen Anderson

I have lived in three states and three countries. I am a mother of seven and grandmother of 24. My family brings me great joy.

About Me

I love to sew and knit and read. I enjoy learning about other cultures and wish I could speak another language fluently. Serving others is fulfilling to me and makes me happy. I like to organize.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ's teachings, as found in scriptures and latter-day revelation, are given to us for our happiness in this life. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, and by following His commandments and repenting of wrong doing, the way is made possible for us to return to live after this life with our Heavenly Parents. Understanding the purpose of life helps me have hope when times are difficult, and gives me the desire to develop faith in Christ to help me with my burdens. By accepting responsibility to be a witness for Christ, I have been able to have wonderful experiences and associations that have enriched my life.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had opportunities to teach songs to young children, go camping with teenage girls, teach women to bake bread and bottle fruit. I've had the opportunity to organize a lot of events for various age groups and find fulfillment in using my creativity this way. These opportunities have helped me be less selfish and gain confidence. Enduring friendships have been made through monthly visits to other women of my faith. Other women in our church have helped me when I had a broken leg and when I had surgery by watching my children and bringing in food, and I have done the same for them. I love the diversity of people and how we can learn from each other.
