Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, because I believe it is Christ's established church on the Earth today. It is led by Prophets and Apostles just as Heavenly Father and Christ have led their people throughout all of the ages. I believe the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ, which works hand in hand with the Bible to provide the pathway to Eternal life and exaltation. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for His children, it is called the plan of salvation and within it we all have our own specific roles to fulfill. Heavenly Father desires for us to choose to follow Him and keep His commandments, which will lead us to happiness and peace. As we study the scriptures, listen to the words of the prophet, strive to keep the commandments, and seek for the truth and light through prayer and the Holy Spirit, I know we can grow closer to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I've lived my faith by be active at church, attending seminary throughout high school and participating in church sponsored activities. I was able to be a key part of planning high adventure for scouting (which is done through the church). I've been able to be in the Youth committee in Rapid City, South Dakota Stake, where I've been able to contribute to many youth activities. Heading out on for the Idaho, Nampa Mission on July 6, 2016, for two years where I will help bring people closer to Christ and their Heavenly Father.
