Hi I'm Malachi Gonzalez

I am a Mormon. I have been called to serve in the Texas San Antonio Mission English Speaking. I love to serve in Christ's name

About Me

I am an 18 year old male who just graduated from High School. I spent 17 and a half years of my life living in Oregon, but moved in January of 2016 to the Salt Lake Valley of Utah. Throughout High School I was involved in various amounts of Sports, clubs, and activities. I was an all-state football player, a two-time state tournament placer in Wresting, and a Discuss state qualifier. I was a part of student leadership for three years with that including two years of being an ASB officer. I was a part of NHS, My Future My Choice, a slightly a part of the DMA club for a couple months. I will be attending BYU in Provo, Utah after I serve my mission in San Antonio Texas for Two years. I am very involved in my church, and love to help others! I am very interested in politics, AP US history and AP Government were some of my favorite courses in high school. Politics strangely interest me and I like to be able to think for myself when it comes to generating opinions on candidates, policies, actions, etc. Overall, I love anything that is uplifting, joyful, and brings people towards Christ to help the Salvation of those who believe on his name.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have experience the true joy that comes through using the Atonement of Christ and the true joy that Christ brings in our lives. Of course, nobody goes through this life without trials and tribulations that make life extremely hard; and if there is one thing I've learned about life recently, is that life gets harder than one can imagine. I had to move halfway through my senior year of High School, leaving friends I've known my whole life and having to meet new people in a span of 7 months before I had planned on going on my mission. These past couple months have been really hard on me psychologically but the one thing that has helped me get through is knowing that Christ loves me and that he restored his True Church on the Earth through Joseph Smith the Prophet. Christ love everyone on this Earth, no matter what one has done, how much one has done, what someone looks like, or what they choose in live, Christ loves everyone. Knowing that my savior loves me and loves everyone else helps to set an example for me to do the same. I strive to be like the Savior for that has brought me some of the greatest trials in my life as well as some of the most pure joy that can be achieved on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in my church from being a counselor, president, and secretary in many organized groups within the Church. I have been a home teacher for most of my youth life as well as have planned church events and have taught a various amount of classes. I strive to be the best I can and try to live and exemplify the savior through my actions, words, and desires. I am more of a deeper doctrine kind of person, I want to know why certain things happen, how things happen, and whats going to happen on many points that have not yet been revealed. A good thought that I try to keep in my head throughout my day is, "What can I do today to be more like Christ?" This thought helps me to make decisions that I know will help keep me protected from Satan and his forces and help me to become a better person. I love going to the temple and performing work for the dead as often as I can. Overall, I live my faith as best as I can and I always strive to be better!
