Hi I'm Britton McKay Garrard

I grew up in Burley Idaho. I love to play Basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Britton. I have a deep love of Basketball and want to play that beautiful game all my life. I like to do anything outside that keeps me active. I read a lot of books, mostly just fighting books, but I love to read and spend a rainy afternoon wrapped up in a blanket reading about sword fights.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. But a few years ago I decided I wasn't going to go to church unless I believed that the LDS Church was true. I prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed. Nothing came to me no answer from above that the church is true. But I still went to church with my family and one Sunday my quorum leader talked about how if you want to talk to the Lord you pray to Him, but if you want Him to talk to you you had to read the scriptures. So I really dove into reading the Book of Mormon when I finished it I prayed and asked if this book is not true. And nothing hit me. No lightning bolt of truth. But I could not deny that that book was true. I couldn't deny that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I knew it was true and couldn't deny it. I know this is the true church. I have read the Book of Mormon and know it is real, that the principles in it teach about Christ and to Love him and trust in him. I know that if I build my foundation on Christ that I can't fail. If I trust with all my heart, might, mind, and strength He will bless me and help me through any trial that I may have.

How I live my faith

I try my best to treat everyone the way I want to be treated. I go home teaching every month to a few older families in my area and I love to hear and talk with them about significant events in their lives. I also try to visit the elderly that can't make it to activities and share with them what I've been doing and what is happening in our ward.
