Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in a small town in Washington State. I'm an actor, musician, and a national debater. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student going for a media arts major. I love watching movies, and preforming original music. Most importantly, I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it just feels right. There was a two year period where I didn't attend church, but I still went to seminary and scouts. In that time a local church needed a drummer to fill in for a few weeks while their resident drummer was out of town. Being in a small town, there weren't many people to play with. So I went and drummed those three weeks. Those were some of the most awkward Sundays of my life. It wasn't the people, they were wonderful. It was the lack of the spirit in that church. The pastor's sermon was just blanket doctrine, nothing specific. When those three weeks were up I started going back to church, and started my daily scripture study again. During my reading one day I found my favorite single chapter of scripture, Mormon 9 (I highly suggest reading it). That chapter said everything that I've felt my whole life. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach the young primary class with kids from the ages of four to eight.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Ben
Yes I do. Our Heavenly Father is a God of order. And his order has always consisted of prophets to teach us, His children, the gospel. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. If He had prophets teach His children before Christ, why would he not have prophets teach them after? Joseph Smith was the prophet he called at the beginning of this dispensation. Currently Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet, His steward, for His children today. Show more Show less
