Hi I'm Elder Van Drimmelen

I grew up in Utah. I'm going to serve the people of the Philippines. I'm a mormon

About Me

I absolutely love sports! My favorite sport to play is basketball, but I love all kinds of sports. I have 8 people in my family and I love them all so much. Other things I like to do are snowboarding, wake boarding, hanging out with my friends, and being around people. I don't know what I want to be in when I'm older but I do know that I want my future job to have something to do with working with lots of people. I hate being by myself I always want to be around others talking to them and getting to know them better. That's just a little bit about me!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because it makes me happy. I have had many people say "Well what if all of this isn't true in the end?" I say "Well then I would have no regrets about being a Mormon, because when I live my faith I feel true happiness." I have felt Christ's atonement in my life and I also know that it isn't just a one time thing. It is a daily gift that we need to use. It is not just confessing our sins but truly using his atonement to change ourselves into something better. This church has given me the opportunity to feel forgiven and to have hope in a better me. Without this gospel I would not be where I am today I would absolutely be a different person. Being a Mormon is one of the greatest joys that I have in my life and I'm so happy that I'm a part of this amazing church!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily in the way that I interact with others. I try my best to act the way Jesus does. Although I mess up a lot I am doing my best to try to become like him. I have had lots of leadership opportunities because of my faith. I got to be the president over the guys my age when I was 14 and I loved it. I have also been a home teacher and I try to reach out to the families that I am in charge of. I truly love bearing my testimony to others and whenever I have to opportunity to do so I try to bare my testimony. I look out for people that might need a friend. In fact that is how I have made a lot of my friends was just by listening to the spirit and talking to people that I am prompted to talk to. That's how I live my faith.
