Hi I'm Sariah

I'm easy-going and I love a good laugh! I've been called to serve a mission in Sacramento, California! I'm a Mormon and I love it.

About Me

I have been called to serve a mission in Sacramento, California and I am so excited to share the gospel! I cannot wait for this next chapter in my life. I enjoy going out, socialising and making new friends; but I often need time to myself and I usually spend it curled up with a book, listening to music or writing. I love to write! Stories, songs, poems... anything that I have an opinion, or belief about, I find a way to write it down. Travelling is a dream of mine. There are so many places on my bucket list, and I'll do everything I can to get there. I have a fascination with how the human mind works. This will carry me through my years at University, where I will study psychology, before going into the field of music therapy. Becoming a music therapist is my goal because I desire to help people understand, and put into practice, the mental benefits of listening to and working with music.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? Simply because I don't know who I would be without the church. Having been raised in the gospel has been the most wonderful thing in my life. I enjoy studying and learning all that I can from the teachings of Jesus Christ, and with everything I learn, my personal conviction of these truths grows stronger. I've had personal challenges and trials, but with Heavenly Father's help I've succeeded many times in my life. I know that if I simply do the little, daily things, that I will continue to have His help in every aspect of my life. I know He loves me, no matter how imperfect I am! All I need to do is try every day, to be better then I was the day before. Living the gospel brings me feelings of peace, love and joy like nothing else ever will. I am no where near perfect, but whenever I am on my knees in prayer, or reading from the scriptures, I know I'm on the right track. I love the Book of Mormon. This book itself is a miracle, and I am so glad to be able to read the words within. I know it is inspiration from God, and when you read it, that it will be a light in your life. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He devoted his entire life to the Lord, and he is an amazing example to me. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live, and that they love you and I. Jesus Christ sacrificed, and atoned for our sins. I know I am forever in His debt. His love for us, was the reason He sacrificed His life. All He asks in return is that we love, serve and follow Him by living His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the simple, everyday habits I've put into practice my whole life. My faith, my beliefs, are an integral part of who I am. Integrity, humility, and service are just a few ways I apply what I believe into my life. Music is one of the many ways I serve the church in my area. Playing the piano and organ for various meetings is something I have come to love. The church hymns can bring peace into a room, and I've always hoped those feelings of contentment and peace are felt by everyone. I enjoy serving with the young women in the area. I assist them in completing the church's young women's program, Personal Progress. I help them plan, and then complete goals to prepare to be a future wife, mother and homemaker. As they work on their goals, they develop talents, skills and receive knowledge. Overall, the goal is for the young women to know they are beloved daughters of God.
