Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a fraternal twin. I love music, rugby, reading, and baking cookies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have a fraternal twin sister and four brothers. I was born in Utah, but grew up in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I like singing, reading, listening to music, playing rugby, baking cookies and cupcakes, playing the piano, and serving others. I like good food. I work with a nine year old girl with special needs. I hope to double major in Special Education and Pediatric Therapy someday. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I owe all that I am to my Savior and Redeemer. It is because of Him I can be made whole again and be happy. I know for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know we have a loving Heavenly Father, and he has given us families because he loves us. He also gives us prophets to lead and guide us. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on the Earth today. I am grateful for God's power on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I am going to serve an 18 month mission in the Tahiti Papeete Mission in October 2016, and I am so excited! I look forward to serving the people there and serving the Lord. Every Sunday I get to teach the energetic/spirited 3-5 year-old kids in my ward (congregation). It's loads of fun. I really like the quote by Stephen Grellet: “I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” I try to follow Christ's example in being kind to those around me.
