Hi I'm Sabrina

I love my life. I love to dance! I'm from Oregon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've had around six years of formal ballet training, including three years en pointe. I have been called to serve an 18 month mission to spread the gospel! I have been assigned to labor as a visitor's center missionary in St. George, Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints give me hope and I have come to know for myself that they are true. The first thing that we teach as missionaries is that God loves us. We are all children of God-- we are a part of His family! He loves us so much that He sent us here in families to learn how to make good choices and eventually to return to live with Him again. That is our purpose! God loves us, and so He has provided us with messengers, or prophets, to guide us through the craziness of life. God has also given us additional scripture called the Book of Mormon. Comparable to the Bible, the Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. The message it contains also outlines the plan which helps us to know what we need to do in order to live with our families for forever. That truth is so precious to me! I invite anyone who would like to learn more about this wonderful gospel to look up the missionaries and give them a call! You won't regret it :)

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to work with a lot of incredible young people. I've been a dance teacher to the cutest 4 to 6-year-olds in the west! I've worked at the YMCA as a youth counselor! I've also had the privilege of serving in the young women's organization, overseeing the visit-teaching program, and coordinating the musical numbers for the Sunday service in my congregation.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

As Latter-Day Saints we believe that God still talks to His children today just as He did in Bible times. God speaks directly to the prophet so that we know what He expects of us. The Word of Wisdom is a result of God speaking with His servant, Joseph Smith, nearly two centuries ago. It warns against the use of tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea, and illegal drugs. These things are all harmful to our bodies in different ways, whether it be physically or mentally. In either case, these things distract us and keep us from feeling the Spirit and receiving revelation from our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

When we talk about the "Atonement," we are referring to Christ suffering for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, His death on the cross at Calvary, and His resurrection after three days of laying in His tomb. He overcame all things. Because He lives, we can all live again. As we use His atonement, we can be washed clean of our sins and return to God's presence as spotless as we were the day we left. We can use His Atonement by repenting of the mistakes we have made and trying to be a better, more Christ-like person. Show more Show less
