Hi I'm Fallyn

I'm Colorado raised. I hike 14000 ft mountains in my spare time. I'm a computer sci major and a not-so-closet nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of seven kids. If there's one thing I've learned from a big family, it's that manners go out the window at Thanksgiving dinner. No rules when it comes to who gets to the turkey first. I attend BYU in Provo, Utah and am majoring in computer science with a minor in digital humanities and technology. I love coding computer systems and web sites. There's something incredible to me about writing a code and immediately watching a computer compute it and turn it into a system. Technology is RAD. When my face isn't shoved into a computer, I love all things outdoors. I love hiking, especially the tallest mountains in Colorado, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, snowshoeing, etc. I'm also an avid runner. I ran cross country and track in High School along with basketball in which I helped my team take the 5a state championship my senior year. I now coach track for young kids in an attempt to keep this younger generation active and happy. Life is so cool.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church my entire life. I was so lucky to have been born into a family of active members who have gone to church consistently their whole lives and raised me going to church every week as well. Although I had this solid upbringing, it wasn't until college that I really found out for myself whether this church was true or not. I may have been LDS my whole life, but I wasn't truly converted til' I had to do it all on my own. I am a Mormon because through living this gospel and reading my scriptures and truly praying, I have found more peace and joy than in any other activity I've been apart of. I know this gospel holds the truth that every human being strives for and the joy that everyone is searching for.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest things about this church is the constant opportunity to serve each other and members of the community. I've had numerous calllings throughout my life from presidencies within my young women to committees to plan activities. My favorite calling yet is my latest call to be a full-time missionary. I have been assigned to labor in the Washington Federal Way mission and will be speaking Spanish. This calling is one hundred percent about service and love for the people and for my Savior and I have never been more excited for anything in my whole life.
