Hi I'm Sam Pugsley

I grew up in Utah. I love to play sports, read books, and learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play basketball, tennis, and I love to play any other sports when I get the chance. I have been called to serve in the Brisbane, Australia mission. After I serve I will be attending BYU. I read a lot of books on various subjects. I have a large family with a lot of crazy kids that I love to be around.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a happiness in this church that most people would not expect to find. Some may say that the rules are too strict. Others may say that our church is out of date. What I find incredible is that once you fully immerse yourself in the church and everything that comes along with it, then you will find the true happiness which I am talking about. No half-hearted effort will account. Christ wants all of us or nothing. I have found that when I am completely reliant on Christ, when I let Him enslave me, then I am the most free. Christ is my rock. I know that He died for me and for you on the cross. He suffered for our sins in Gethsemane. But despite all this, despite His physical death, He was resurrected so that we might live! I know that the only way to happiness and eternal life is through Him. This church testifies of Christ and I have come closer to Him through the Book of Mormon than I have through any other book. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen to be the first prophet of this dispensation and to bring about the restoration of Christ's original church. I know that this Church is true. Through this Church I have hope for a life after this life and redemption from my sins. One day I know that I will live with my family again, eternally in an exalted state, if I put my faith in Christ and His infinite Atonement. Of that I bear testimony. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have an incredible congregation that I am an active member in. I home teach two families once a month with my Dad. I have been in many leadership positions within the youth groups. It is neat to be able to interact with people who have such strong faith in Jesus Christ and have my testimony strengthened by theirs. But my biggest position in this church is to be a representative of Christ at all times and in all places. This is no easy task. Being as Christ is means being perfect in every aspect of life. I, by no means, am perfect. But as I try each and every day to become better, to lift other people's burdens, to improve other people's lives, I feel myself being strengthened and given new energy to do things that I couldn't do by myself. It is an amazing part of being a member of Christ's church. Jesus Christ will help you! His Gospel is to love others, to help others, and any effort on our part to do this will result in added strength and blessings from Him. I have seen this countless times in my life as I have tried my hardest to be a good representative of Christ.
