Hi I'm Travis Lloyd

I was born in Southern California, lived there ten years and moved to Highland Utah. Mountains or Beach? Mountains no doubt.

About Me

I love playing sports, I played Soccer since I was four, and wrestled for few years. Since moving to Utah when I've grown to love the Mountains more than the beach in California. Hiking, camping, fishing, etc. On relaxing days the first thing on my list is to watch a movie. Currently I'm Serving a mission in Oklahoma, When I return home I will attend The University of Utah, to be an ER Doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but I've had challenges and trials in my life that would have made it easy to say "If God was really there, or if this church was true this wouldn't happen" But I have felt the convincing evidence of the truthfulness of the Gospel by the Holy Ghost. All that seems unfair in the world is made easy through the Atonement of Christ. I have felt this power in my life, and have seen it work in the lives of those I've have shared the Gospel with on my mission. Why would I ever leave something that only Has Gods hand in it. I love being a disciple of Christ, following in his foot-steps, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches me how to be a better follower of Christ in loving my neighbors. I'm a child of God, a son of two loving parents, the youngest of 6 siblings, a uncle to ten and counting nieces and nephews, and I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was active throughout my youth, and always wanted to follow the footsteps of my three older brothers and dad who served missions. Once I graduated High School I went on a mission as was called to Oklahoma. The mission is a amazing, the feeling of seeing someone's life change and improve as they accept the gospel of Christ is unparalleled. The blessings and knowledge that come from daily scripture study and application are endless. I'm thankful for the opportunity I've been given to serve the Lord. When I return home I'm excited to be an active member who always remembers the blessings of missionary work for all who are involved.

What are Mormon temples used for?

Travis Lloyd
In the Temples we perform sacred Ordinances. An Ordinance being an outward expression of an inward commitment like baptism. In Temples we feel the Spirit and we are close to our Father in Heaven. We also bind families together for Eternity. This principle is the reason I can push forward with faith and hope that all things will work out. That God is all loving. Because I am sealed to my family I have hope. I will be able to live with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and my family forever. What a blessing! Show more Show less
