Hi I'm Samuel Clarke

I love laughter. I have been diagnosed with ORD or Obcessive Running Disorder. I am a huge procrastinator, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most people call me Sam, but I usually respond to any variation of the name including Samson. I absolutely love running!!! It has become a huge part of my life, some people have even said that I'm addicted to it. But it's a good addiction, right? Besides running I also have a great passion for reading, fantasy is the best genre! I have been known to make some divine desserts, but don't worry I am not perfect. In fact once while making dinner I added corn syrup instead of corn starch, oops:). Over the last couple of years I have grown to love having a fire, inviting friends over and roasting s'mores. The best s'mores are the ones with bacon on them. Delicious! Currently I am preparing to serve a mission to the Michigan Lansing Mission where I will share the good news of the Gospel for the next two years. After I return from serving, I will be attending Brigham Young University and studying Food Science. I love to learn. My favorite classes in high school were Science, Track, and SEMINARY!!!! Seminary was the best part of my day, I loved being able to go to school and still get spiritually uplifted. D&C 123:17 is one of my favorite scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was always taught to go to all of my meetings regularly. But I don't still attend church because my parents tell me to, but because I know it is the right thing to do. I have received the spiritual witness that this is the true church. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true and that because it is true Joseph Smith did indeed restore Christ's church back on the Earth. I love the Gospel and learning its doctrine. The Gospel brings me happiness and because I know it is true, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The biggest way I live my faith is by just being me. My parents were great teachers and examples to me while I was growing up and so they have instilled in me high moral standards. They also taught me to always be kind and serve others. Service my not seem like the most fun thing to do at the time, but whenever I have gone to serve others I have always left feeling uplifted and happy because I had followed Jesus Christ's example of serving those around me. I also have three families that I visit with in my ward and every month I have the opportunity to teach them and to make sure they were both physically and spiritually okay. By following after Christ and patterning my life off of His, I live my faith daily.
