Hi I'm Brent Thomas

I grew up in Davis, California. I am a missionary serving in South Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the violin, and have done so since I was 7 years old. Prior to the mission, I worked on a dairy farm to help cover the cost of said mission. I also ran track and cross country in high school to keep the spare tire in check. I come from a family of 8, including my parents. I have five little sisters, ranging in age from 18 to 5. They drive me nuts on a regular basis (not that it only goes one way), but I love them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, put bluntly, because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and I have joy in great abundance by following it. How do I know? I have studied its teachings and prayed about them, and, little by little, the Holy Spirit has testified to me of its truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I share my testimony with anyone and everyone. I share because I love my Savior and I know it can help others find peace just like I have.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Brent Thomas
We need a Savior because all of us sin, as hard as we try not to, which keeps us out of the presence of Heavenly Father. It isn't because we are inherently evil, but because it takes time and a few mistakes to learn to be perfect. Jesus Christ made an Atonement for the sins of the world because of His great love for us, so that all of those mistakes that we made while learning to follow Him can be forgiven. Show more Show less
