Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon. I love to bike and cartoon. I play the piano and the harmonica. I like to think that I can dance pretty good too.

About Me

I am the second oldest in my family. I have 6 brothers and a sister and we enjoy playing various sports and board games together. I love being with my family. Nothing is better than going skiing, camping, or canoeing with my family. Right now, I am working with children. It is an extremely fun job and I love working with the kids. My favourite part of my job is when I dress up as Spider-Man and do some climbing, tricks, rolls, and jumps. I love seeing the kids smile and laugh. I enjoy biking and kayaking, especially when I can get away from the city and be in nature. I like to go really fast when I bike and really slow when I kayak. Biking and kayaking are year round activities for me, even in the winter. I also love to cartoon and doodle.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was raised in the gospel. I've been told that because I grew up in the church then I have been indoctrinated with the principles and beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. However, as I grew older I realized that I had to gain my own testimony of the gospel. I wasn't going to take anyone else's word for it. I wanted to know for myself whether the gospel was true or not. It took a lot of searching scripture study and sincere prayer but I received my answer. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live today and are real. Heavenly Father hears and answers our earnest prayers when we truly seek His guidance. Heavenly Father loves all of His children and wants the best for us and our families. Being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has made my life so much better and made me a lot happier. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for us and that it is the word of God. I've received personal revelation and answers in response to my prayers. Everyone can have the same opportunity to ask God if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His church on the earth today. The restored gospel found in His church has changed my life for the better and I know the effect that it can have. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I've been given to find and know the truth.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by helping others. I want to have the love that God and Jesus Christ have for everyone. I love to serve others and ensure that I am prepared to help unexpectedly. I've helped with food drives and other community volunteering initiatives. Surprising others with selfless service makes everyone feel good. An unexpected compliment, sincere smile, or paying for someone else's food goes a long way. I always try to be that "kind stranger that made my day". Right now my responsibility at church is that I help organize events and encourage and welcome everyone to church and to hear the message of the gospel. I love the gospel so much and I want to share it with everyone, especially those that are searching for a happier life. I work with the full time missionaries to invite and bring others to the church that are interested in learning more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
