Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in Florida. I'm going on a mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors! I have been privileged to live and experience the outdoors on both sides of the Untied States. From Florida to Idaho, which are polar opposites, I was blessed to have opportunities to try and experience a variety of outdoor activities that have taught me a lot about who I am, and what I want to become. I am studying to be a Recreational Therapist, and was going to college, but put that on hold until I return from serving a Full-time Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I KNOW the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be TRUE. I was privileged to grow up in the church, but as I got older I desired to know for myself wether I knew it was true or not. I didn't want to base my beliefs off of my parents. I desired to have my own knowledge and understanding of the gospel. I studied the scriptures and prayed to know if it was true. I asked questions, talked with leaders of the church, and was actively engaged in my church meetings. I had an open mind to what I was being taught, and aloud the spirit to guide and direct me. Overtime I came to have a greater understanding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the gospel principles it teaches.

How I live my faith

Day by Day is how I live my faith. Life is complicated and you never know what is going to happen. Which is something I struggle with is not knowing. I like to be in control of situations and knowing beforehand what is going to happen before it happens, so then I can make the decision to go with it or not, but that is not how life works. Throughout my life I have been given callings to teach in the church, I have been assigned to serve others, and plan/ organize events/ activities. The Lord works in mysteries ways and it was through these opputunities that I learned to trust in him, to turn to him when I needed help to know what to do, to know what to say. Now as I am preparing to go on a mission I have learned that it is not about knowing what is going to happen at the end. Then we would question well how did we get there? Heavenly Father knows me better than I know myself and He knew that I would have a better understanding and appreciation by taking it one day at a time, trusting in him, and getting lost in the work.
