Hi I'm Isabelle

I grew up in Utah. I went to school in Hawaii. I love the performing arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing and perform onstage. I used to participate in plays and musicals and I plan to again in the future. I love hiking, camping, and seeing the beauty of each place I visit. I plan to travel the United States someday. I have attended Brigham Young University- Hawaii studying Marine Biology and Social Work.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but being a member is so much more than being raised a certain way. As I got older and met so many people from different religions, cultures, and backgrounds, I had to decide for myself how I would choose to worship. I truly struggled to decide what I believed when I began my battle with depression. I often wondered if there even was a God and if so, why couldn't I feel his love? I continued to go to church and pray, but everything seemed hollow. Soon, one of my good friends shared a simple scripture with me. I don't even remember what the scripture was (probably something about enduring to the end), but it touched me that this person would even take the time to share something with me. I realized that I was simply looking past all the ways God was showing his love to me. Once I began to see those blessings, my battle with depression got a little easier. I knew God was on my side and that I could turn to him when I felt like there was no one else. I rely on the scriptures and prayer daily to keep me going and to remember to see the best in everyone and everything.

How I live my faith

I have been a leader in many positions at church. I love to share my experiences with others and leadership positions give me that opportunity. Serving my neighbors is the best way for me to show that I genuinely care and make sure that everyone feels the love that I can give.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Baptism starts us on the path to return to Heavenly Father. The reason we baptize new members is to start them on that path so they can learn and grow to become more like Him. Through baptism, we take upon ourselves Christ's name and promise to remember him and follow him in all things because he was the perfect example. Show more Show less
