Hi I'm Chandrelyn

I grew up in Utah, U.S.A. I like singing, laughing, and reading. I'm happy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do lots of things! I have six siblings and I enjoy singing and playing piano with them. I love going on trips to national parks and going camping with my family, they are pretty cool! I also enjoy doing ceramics and basically anything artistic, as well as reading. I am a hula dancer, and in high school I was on the color guard (the flag team). I really love learning about other people and cultures and trying their food / having new experiences. I went on a service trip to India that really opened my eyes to the beauty of people and how good they are! I have always wanted to travel and see the world, but I also enjoy going to parks and walking here at my home. I love the outdoors, and I love my family a lot!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a Mormon, because it brings me peace and happiness. I am comforted by this gospel, and I often wonder how people bear the tragedies of the world without the knowledge that we have a loving father in heaven who is watching us, and walking with us through our good times and our bad times. I am so grateful for this church when someone I know or love passes on, because I know that this life is not the end, I know that I will see those people again after this life is done. I know that the Book of Mormon brings peace into my life every time I read it. It brings peace because it invites us to know and become more like Jesus Christ, and it invites us to follow him. I am so grateful that there is a living prophet on the earth today, just as in old times, and that if I follow his words, I will be lead through life, and I will find happiness. Jesus said, "By your fruits ye shall know them." I know that this gospel is good because I have tasted of the good fruit of it. This church brings me happiness, fulfillment, direction, and peace with where I am in life. I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward community by attending meetings every Sunday and occasionally teaching lessons. I prepare talks to give to my congregation when asked by my bishop, and I share my testimony of the truth with people I come in contact with. While I was in school, I attended classes near my school about this gospel that taught me more about it, these classes served as a reminder throughout the week of Jesus Christ and how I want to follow him. I live my faith every day by choosing to focus on Jesus Christ and his ability to strengthen my weaknesses instead of getting caught up in doubt and fear. I also live my faith by attending temples that are near me!
