Hi I'm Jackie Dean

I'm a proud Wisconsite, a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, a little sister and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What's up!! I am lover of all things cheesey, jokes & food alike. I joined the church on October 24th, 2014 just shy of two years after my sister (who is soon to graduated from BYU) joined as well. We grew up in Wisconsin but both decided to take a chance and move out to Utah. We may have our differences but we both have found this gospel in our own ways and admire each others spirits' and strength through each trial we over come. I currently attend Utah State University and am a very proud and very active member of my sorority. Being a Kappa Delta has opened up my life to so many oppertunities and friendships since I've moved to Utah. It gives me such a greater appreciation for being apart of something more than myself. I am studying Journalism and Communications with my fingers crossed I get a good job that lets me serve others and bring them and myself a lot of smiles. I cannot wait to see where my world will change as I embark upon the journey of my mission to California Santa Rosa, also known as the most beautiful prime piece of realestate in Northern California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was lucky enough to have those who admire the church and knew more than I, found me at the best time in my life to teach me. The sister missionaries did just that and helped me gain a testimony and greater knowledge of this gospel. Because of their sacrifice to serve my future and the future of my family has been forever changed. I feel it is the smallest thing I can do to begin to give back and give the opportunity for others to have this great gift. Having perfect faith and testimony of Christ's Atonement is the best way to forgive yourself and others for their imperfections. Through his atonement, we all can become closer to him. This gospel does not pick and choose those it chooses to uplift. It is the most unifying source of hope this modern day has received.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a kind and helpful source of knowledge for my friends, many of whom are not yet members of our faith. I try to represent this church in a fashion of love and respect so the conversations are comfortable and useful. It is my hope that by opening up opportunities to talk about Christ's life and this restored gospel I can inform them more clearly of our beliefs. I think it is best to teach with love than with force. This is the best way to connect with others and for most, I am the only Mormon they have ever met.
