Hi I'm Ethan Hutchinson

I grew up in Southern Nevada. I'm the youngest of four and a black belt. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I played the tuba throughout middle school and high school and I played the bass trombone in my high school's jazz band. I was in the marching band at my high school. I went to BYU Idaho for a semester and took fencing lessons while I was there. I'm an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and a black belt in karate with the United Fighting Arts Federation: Chuck Norris System. I love to read sci-fi and fantasy books. I enjoy playing board games and card games like Dominion and Magic the Gathering.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've seen how the Gospel affects the lives of families. I've seen families that live the Gospel, and their homes have a certain feeling of happiness and peace that feels welcoming. I know that my family can live together forever with our Heavenly Father after this life. I'm a Mormon because I want my children to grow up knowing the love and happiness the Gospel can bring to families.

How I live my faith

Since I was a little kid I always went to church on Sunday with my family, even if we were out of town. I received the priesthood when I was 12 and always tried to live up to the responsibilities that came with it. When I was in high school I attended and graduated from early morning religious studies. I worked on a youth committee that planned activities for about 150 youth between 12 and 18 in my area. I'm now serving a mission to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve the people in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
