Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love the outdoors. I like to camp, fish, hike, bike, climb, boat, and do basically anything else that can be done outside. I also enjoy reading and building things. I recently built a 3D printer. Right now I'm preparing to serve a church mission, after which I will go to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but that is not the only reason that I am one. I have always been taught to find out for myself, so that is what I have done. I have read and prayed about both the Bible and the Book of Mormon and felt that they are both God's word to guide us back to Him. I believe that Jesus Christ's church has been restored to the Earth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the "Mormon" church). I have found this out for myself through study and prayer, and know that others can do the same. Without Christ I would certainly not be the person that I am today, and I want to share the joy that comes with that with others. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I really like to do service, and service is stressed a lot in our church. I've had the opportunity to do lots of yard work, litter clean ups, build toys at a community service center, and do many other projects through church activities. I'm also one of my congregation's family history consultants. Through this I have had the opportunity to help run family history events and am there to help interested people find their ancestors. I am also assigned to visit a couple of families in my ward each month to make sure they are doing well and see if we can help them in any way. Through these opportunities and through living the principles taught by Jesus Christ I have found a lot more happiness than I would have ever found otherwise.
