Hi I'm Mandalyn

I love education. I'm a medical professional. Give me an ice cream cone and I will love you forever. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a five-foot-one-and-a-half (don't forget the half) spark of excitement and spunk. I am a born learner and the trail of discovery and puzzle-solving gives me irrational amounts of joy. I am a college student and love to study health and wellness, and am also a certified medical assistant and love to draw blood. Nothing means more to mean than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, which I suppose is why I started out Mormon, but I have stayed Mormon because I have found more peace and joy in this life by following the teachings of the church than by doing anything else. I have prayed to my Heavenly Father and I know He loves me. I know that His full gospel and knowledge is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I love to follow Him and His Son. It is honestly the best way to live your life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving others. I find so much joy and fulfillment in being kind and loving to everyone, regardless of if they are strangers or my closest family. I have loved serving in the church where we have so many service opportunities, like making hygiene kits for refugees or visiting the elderly in their homes. I have found that as I serve others, I feel better every day. It makes it easier to deal with the struggles of life. I also am currently serving a full-time mission for the church in Tucson, Arizona. I love the opportunity to serve our God and the people of Arizona. As I serve I feel closer to my Savior and feel so much joy in life!

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Mandalyn
I love being a missionary! We are funded from several sources. Since we are full-time volunteers, the funds needed to buy food and other necessary items, as well as travel and living expenses, all come from our savings at home. A lot of us saved for much of our childhoods to be able to serve. We also have a lot of kind neighbors who contribute to our mission funds. There is a specific amount we donate to the church every month, and the church takes all of those donations and distributes it back to us according to the cost of living in our area. That way no matter where you serve in the world, every missionary donates the same, but can still afford to live where they are called. In a way, we all saved and donate to each other's missions!
