Hi I'm Curtis Talbot

I grew up in Utah. I have since received a mission call to Cleveland, Ohio. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Curtis. I love being outdoors and just enjoying the beauty of nature and all the things it has to offer. I also love playing any sort of sports such as soccer, tennis, volleyball, and more! Family and friends are a huge part of my life and I spend as much time with both groups as I can, they have a really big impact on me. I currently have a mission call to serve in the Cleveland, Ohio Mission and I can't wait for that! Following that I plan to attend college and study either Mechanical Engineering or Aviation.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that was strong in the gospel. My parents have always been very strong spiritually and have helped me and my siblings grow and gain as well as strengthen our own testimonies. I love the feeling I get from being a part of this gospel and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is so true. I have a firm testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior and I know His atonement is one of, if not the most incredible gift we have been given. I know that if we sin or do wrong that we can repent and be forgiven of any sins. No man is too far gone to be saved and forgiven of his sins and I know that to be true. I know the Book of Mormon is the keystone of my religion and I know it contains the full truth of the gospel. I also know that if I am ever having a bad day or am down or confused with life that I can turn to the Book of Mormon and be filled with the spirit. It helps me to have a better outlook on life and to continually grow stronger in the gospel. I believe in the power of prayer as well because I have seen the way it changes and helps people. I have had my own trials and hardships in life and I can testify with every fiber in my being that prayer has helped me so much and that when I pray to my Heavenly Father, He hears my prayers, is watching over me, and will help me and understand the things I am going through. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and I know that the work he and others did to translate the Book of Mormon was very important. I believe strongly in the plan of salvation and I know that when we die on earth we will be able to see and live eternally with our families in the next life. I love this gospel and can't wait to serve a mission in Cleveland, Ohio and to be able to bring the light of Christ and this gospel to those in search of it. I know my Father lives and has a plan for me. He has a plan for each and every one of His children. I know this is the true gospel and love it.

How I live my faith

In my community I am part of a youth organization called a youth council and we do lots of cool service projects and activities to help out others. I have also had a church calling of playing the piano in priesthood opening exercises and it has helped me to grow more in music and the gospel and gain a greater love for the beautiful hymns. I have also had the opportunity to serve as the president of our young men's groups and being able to head each of those groups was an amazing and spiritual experience. I try to attend the temple regularly because I love being in the Lord's House and feeling the spirit inside and performing ordinances for the dead.
