Hi I'm Tyson

I grew up in Arizona. I run track and field. I play soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in the heat of Arizona since I was a 1 year old. I am the second of 6 children. I love playing basketball and my friends and I play together regularly. I played 1 year of high school basketball before deciding that I would try my luck at soccer. I am now a soccer fan and play at every chance I get. Bayern Munich is the best club, but I am a USMNT fan. I ran a 4:29 mile my sophomore year in track and was able to go to the track and field championships for Arizona a couple of times. I enjoy running and anything sports. Recently, I had the chance to complete an olympic sized triathlon and it was one of the hardest things I have done.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is God's church on the Earth. In the scriptures, we read of examples of those who prayed for guidance. James 1:5-6 tells us that we can receive answers when we pray. I have done this and I know from the feelings that I have been given that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have had countless experiences when God reaches out to touch my life, regardless of whether I deserve it or not. I am so grateful for his mercy and for the chance that I have to serve my mission to teach others about the joy that being a member of this church brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend to others. Christ loved all and was a friend to everyone, so as I try to do the same, I express my faith and belief in Him. I attend my weekly church meetings and love them. For the next two years, I will be living my faith by serving a full-time mission in England.
