Hi I'm Stockton

I grew up in Ohio. I love my family, music, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 17-year-old kid who was born and raised in the Midwest of the United States— specifically, in Columbus, Ohio. I lived there for 15 years, where I became a diehard Ohio State fan. I have three brothers, two sisters, and amazing parents. My oldest brother married the girl of his dreams last summer and are expecting a baby girl in the fall of 2016! I am so excited to be an uncle! Also, my other brother is getting married in August of 2016. It is amazing to see my family get slowly bigger and bigger! After my freshman year of high school in 2013, my family made the decision to move out west to Utah. Over the course of this move and shortly thereafter, I became very interested and involved with music. I learned to play the piano and the ukulele through the internet. It became my favorite hobby and has led me to learn to love to songwriting. I graduated high school early in 2015 and attended the University of Utah during the 2015-2016 school year with my brother. I loved that experience and was able to meet so many amazing people. During that year, I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I received my call on April 15, 2016. I will be become a missionary for the Costa Rica, San José West Mission on August 24, 2016. I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it brings so much joy to my life. During times of heartache or strife, I am still able to find personal peace through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the comforting power of the Holy Ghost. I also know that this Church is true because of the fruit that it bears. The Church, its valiant members, and its message is comprised of only good. This is so astonishing to me because of the increasingly evil tendencies of the world.

How I live my faith

I am a faithful member of the Priests Quorum of our local congregation, which consists of the 16-18 year-old boys. I have the opportunity to visit several families in our congregation with my Dad to make sure that they are doing well and to bring them a message of Jesus Christ. I also have the opportunity to sometimes help teach the Sunday school classes for youth aged 17-18 and for the Priests Quorum.
