Hi I'm Cameron

I have grown up in Provo, Utah (USA). I am a swimmer and can speak Spanish fluently. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to swim and have been involved with swimming for over five years. I swam on recreational teams, club teams, and on my high school team for all four years. I also can read, speak, and write in Spanish fluently. I was involved in a dual-immersion program from kindergarten to sixth grade where I learned both Spanish and English. I recently graduated from high school and plan on going to college in the future to continue my education. I love to listen to music and my favorite genre is R&B. Because of my education in Spanish, I also enjoy listening to Latin music. Some of my favorite Latin artists are Juanes, Prince Royce, and Camila. I also have been involved with the Boy Scouts of America and have earned my Eagle scout. I have had many incredible experiences on the path to earning my Eagle and have learned the importance of hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. My parents raised me in this church and I am very glad that they did. I have had countless experiences that strengthen my testimony of the truthfulness of this church. I have had prayers answered and have seen the incredible impact that God has in my life. It has not always been easy but I have learned that anything worth doing in this world requires hard work and dedication. I have always admired the strength and determination of the early members of this church. They were forced from their homes, traveled across the United States on foot in the middle of winter, and were willing to die for this church. Their faith would have had to be incredible otherwise, why would they push on? They knew that God was on their side and that they would make it. I have a testimony that this church is true and that we have a prophet on the earth today. If the people in Moses' day needed a prophet to lead them then we must certainly need one today in the modern world. I know that God loves each one of us and that if we turn to Him, we can become whole. If we feel lost, I know that we can turn to God and find our way. These things I know to be true with all my heart.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I attend church for three hours. I am occasionally called upon to teach lessons about God and his love for us. I go home teaching with my dad to see how people are doing in the ward and if they are in need of any help. I also help take the sacrament to those who cannot come to church due to health issues. I do not currently have a calling but I have had different leadership positions in the past. I have helped organize activities for the youth to participate in. I have been very glad for the opportunity to serve others.
