Hi I'm Josh

I love camping & swooping. & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an older sister and 2 younger brothers that are nothing like me! Yet we love eachother so much. I LOVE going outdoors, especifically camping and backpacking (through Yellowstone, Coyote Gulch, and Hawaii). I enjoy off-roading with my friends in our 4Runners, Jeeps, XTerras and trucks! I can solve several different shapes and sizes of Rubik's cubes and enjoy the occasional competitive video game. I'm serving my mission in Roseville, California. :)

Why I am a Mormon

During my first couple years of high school, I did not care much to participate in The Church. I cared more about the things of the world, having fun with my friends and making memories, not attending church services or seminary classes. Through my senior year I was blessed with the opportunity to meet kids my age who had strong testimonies of the Gospel and loved living righteous, active lifestyles. Through their friendship and examples I learned that it was possible to have fun and enjoy my social and school life while also participating in the religious activities I had, for so long, avoided. I believe that friends are some of the greatest influences of the decisions we make. When I choose to live righteously and follow the basic standard of this Church, I am truly happy.

How I live my faith

My Bishop and I visit several families in our ward on a monthly basis to catch up on their daily lives and leave with them a short spiritual message. I am on the council that decides and plans activities for the youth in our stake. I try to live a healthy, Christ-like life to be a good example to my friends, family and everyone that I meet. I believe that as a representative of the LDS church, I take upon myself the name of Jesus Christ everyday. Meaning, I try my best to act in a way that others would be able to tell that I am a representative of Christ.
