Hi I'm Eriene Oh

I grew up in Malaysia. I am a thinker and an adventurer. I love learning and painting smiles wherever I go. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning and discovering new things. I am passionate about music and people. I am currently in college studying Chemical Engineering. Still trying to navigate this thing called life – sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, but that's OK. My life's motto is "Come what May, and Love It." – Joseph B. Wirthlin.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't think I have a good answer for this one, so let's just go with... Why Not? I believe the Bible to be the word of God, and as such, I believe that God calls prophets to guide His people. The LDS church was founded on this belief – that proper authority was needed to establish (not any church, but) Christ's church. As such, a restoration needed to happen. I believe God to be a God of order, from observing the world around me (God has got to be a mathematician!!) Hence, this makes complete sense to me. In fact, I take comfort in this because I don't comprehend everything right now, nor do I claim to. But how wonderful it is to know that God knows all! And that some day... all will be revealed (2 Nephi 27:11). So... Why Not? I know it, I live it, I love it!!

How I live my faith

My ultimate role model is Jesus Christ. I love learning about His life and the great example that He was. I do my best to act in accordance to my faith and beliefs, but some times I fail – which is why I am grateful for the Infinite Atonement of Jesus Christ, that He redeems us of our faults and flaws regardless of who we were before. Most of all, He gives us Hope. This is perhaps why I am Christian, because I know that it makes me a better person for society and people I associate with. Therefore, I would most assuredly say that it influences my every being. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matt 7:20)... and I do love those fruits. ;)
