Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Colorado and Texas. I was called to serve in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from Colorado, but most of my younger schooling years were in Texas. I moved back to Colorado 3/4 into my freshman year of High School. I love to play basketball. I also enjoy playing soccer and football. I am a diehard Denver Broncos fan, and most other Colorado sports teams. I have worked for McDonalds for about 3 years. I play the guitar, and can play a tad bit of the ukulele as a result. I am both a son, and a brother to two sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, and I have always been a part of what we do. I was obedient to the beliefs of the church through faith in younger years. I always heard people say that I had to develop my own testimony of our beliefs because I was still relying on the testimonies of others. I didn't know how true this was until I, myself, was truly converted. The adversary knows us, and cunningly knows the best time to attack us, and I had a particularly tough time when he hit me with his best shots. I was able to emerge from my lows to my absolute highs through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that the atonement is a healing power brought to us by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We all need to be truly converted for ourselves at some point, regardless of who we are, and I was given the opportunity to experience my own conversion and develop my own anchors of testimony in the church recently. We have faith by trusting that the Lord and His church are true, but as we exercise faith, we begin to develop testimonies. These testimonies build off of one another and reaffirms the original faith that allowed it all to happen. These testimonies are what allows us to know of the truth which is placed before us thanks to this great church. I know that this church, being His church, is the greatest opportunity on the face of the Earth to find true happiness. You feel physically lighter, and the world no longer seems to hold you down as you dedicate yourself to Christ's teachings. I now know that this Church is true, and I know that it will leave faithful members with more blessings than they know what to do with.

How I live my faith

I was a missionary for my local ward until our area's boundaries were reorganized and was released from this calling. In my new ward I was called to be an instructor of the adult men. I also had the opportunity to teach a morning scripture study class, as a special guest, called seminary. I have been called to serve a mission in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz, and report to the provo training center on September 14th.
