Hi I'm Michael Schwendiman

I'm from Salt Lake, play tennis and golf, and am serving in the California Long Beach Mission speaking Khmer and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in the church from the time I was born. I love to play sports like tennis, golf, baseball, etc. and be outside hiking, skiing, or hanging out. I was adopted along with my five other siblings and growing up family was a huge part in my development. I attended Highland High School in Salt Lake City and I am currently serving in the California Long Beach mission speaking Cambodian. Afterwards I will then be attending Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have found truth in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for eternal families and also the ability to know that we can be forgiven of our mistakes. Without these two principles, it would be hard to have comfort in the little things throughout our days. The gospel has helped give me direction and peace in a world full of crazy situations and predicaments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my mission and sharing the gospel with others so that they may be able to decide whether it is for them or not. I do my best to always attend church and do what I am supposed to so that others can see by example what members do and believe.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Michael Schwendiman
No, but serving a mission felt like the right thing for me to do at this time of my life. I am serving a mission because I know something that a lot of people do not... and it makes me happy! I feel the need to be out on a mission because I want to share the gospel with those around me! Show more Show less
