Hi I'm Alex

I'm an aspiring musical composer and director. I'm a pianist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was young I learned to play a number of instruments, including the piano. The piano has become a very large part of my life. I have devoted countless hours to practicing till my fingers and forearms are cramping. I have also performed many times in other musical settings throughout my life. I have enjoyed singing in the Millennial Choirs and Orchestra's East Valley Branch. Inspired by the director of that choral group, I decided that I want to learn, perform, and create music my entire life. I have decided that after my mission, I will return home and obtain an associate's degree. After which I will head to New York where I aspire to attend the Juilliard School of Music and earn a master's degree in piano performance and music composition.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have experienced the joy that the gospel of Jesus Christ will bring in to a life once your heart is softened and your mind is opened. I love and recognize that numerous and countless blessings that being a member of the church has brought me. In high school I received daily strength being able to attend a seminary class during my school hours. The gospel is the one thing that brings the most happiness to me. Christ lives, and His arms are stretched out to receive everybody on this earth. All I need to do, is reach out

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually living up to the standards I have set based on the standards which God has set in place for me. I am devoted to live in such a way that I can be a worthy vessel of the Lord, at any time He may need me. Although I know I am not perfect, I have a firm belief that through Christ and His Atonement, I can be perfect one day. I live my faith by seeking any service that I can be giving to the Lord's children. I strive daily to be an example and emulate Christ in the best way that I know how. I will be serving a full-time mission in the Chile Santiago North Mission. I will dedicate two years solely to the Lord and His work.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Pornography is a terrifying plague that is infecting the most innocent in our world. There are many things to be said about the harms of pornography. But to stop the spread and influence is a hefty task. The best prevention one can have is to be prepared. There are many children who are innocent and may stumble across some pornographic material on the internet. The child may not know what they are seeing, or they may be curious and keep searching for more content. Children are curious creatures, and they will learn one way or another about something that evades their comprehension. Many have the mindset of "ignorance is bliss", however in a world as corrupted as ours is now, we must live by "knowledge is power". Parents must teach their children about human sexuality when they are ready, and parents must let it be known to their children the harms and dangers of pornography. On top of protecting children, it is also crucial that the needs of those already ensnared by pornography be aided. Many feel guilty or ashamed of their addiction. It is important to remember to blame the sin and not the sinner. Christ loves us all, even though we may add to His suffering. It is our duty to love our fellow sinners. Speak out, extend a helping hand, and protect the innocent from pornography. Show more Show less
