Hi I'm Dalton

I grew up in Eastern Kentucky. I am a new convert to the Church. I love music and teaching. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Sophomore college student at Eastern Kentucky University! I am a Music Education Major, and a member of the EKU Marching Colonels! B'YAWH!! I play the Saxophone as my primary instrument. In the summer of 2015, I stayed in Germany as an exchange student for a full month! I love sci-fi, reading, music, running, and hiking! I absolutely love reading the Book of Mormon while immersed in nature!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Baptist. Each Sunday at church, I never really felt fully engaged and spiritual. Once I started meeting with the Mormon Missionaries in my college town, a new light had been given to my life. I can't describe the feeling exactly.....but I've never felt happier and more grateful in my life! Once I opened my heart and humbled myself to what the missionaries were teaching, my spiritual growth was exponential. Growing spiritually affects every part of our lives. The more Christ-like I become, the better my life becomes!

How I live my faith

I was baptized in a fairly large ward, but am home for the summer and active in my area branch! I am at church every Sunday for Sacrament meeting, and of course share my faith with my family and friends, as I am a first generation member of the Church in my family! Some of my favorite memories are helping the branch Missionaries travel around our area and helping them teach the gospel!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Dalton
No! In fact, we have 50,000+ missionaries in the world helping do Heavenly Father's work. We are all children of God, and for that reason no one, regardless of lifestyle or religion, is exempt from our helping hands! Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Dalton
The Word of Wisdom is a commandment given to our faith through the Prophet Joseph Smith. We experience great physical and spiritual blessings from following the Word of Wisdom. It advises us to avoid the use of: Tobacco, Alcohol, Coffee and Tea, and Illegal Drugs. In addition, we are encouraged to keep our bodies and minds healthy and strong, and for that reason exercise is very important, along with simply eating well! Our bodies are temples and our bodies forever! Show more Show less
