Hi I'm Allison

I'm a Special Education major, I've made it a personal goal to pet every dog and cat I see, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Special Education with a minor in doodling and procrastination. Special Ed could change, the others probably won't, I know that I want to teach. My problem is I just want to teach everything and everyone. I've lived in Indiana my whole life, moving around from city to city. I like spending my time at home dressed in stretchy pants reading just about any book I can get. Pretty soon I'll be leaving my Indiana home to serve a mission in the San Fernando, California Mission. And I'm SO excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been going to this church since I was born, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I have experienced in my own life the blessings that come from living the gospel. My testimony didn't come all at once, It actually started with the belief that God is real and hears my prayers. I used that small bit of faith to help my testimony grow. I prayed for and received the assurance that this is the true church, that we have a living prophet of God on the Earth today, and that God loves ALL of his children and wants us to be able to return to live with him again.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday, although some mornings it's tougher than others, and I love to hear what my friends and teachers have to teach me. I've served making programs and news letters, as a visiting teaching district leader (helping the sisters in my ward help each other), and as a chorister for meetings. I'm leaving my Indiana home to serve as a missionary in Southern California on August 2, 2016 and I could not be more excited.
