Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Kansas. I love acting, singing, and tennis. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to sing, act, and play tennis. I'm currently enrolled at BYU, but first I'm going on a mission to the Utah Logan Mission, Spanish speaking. I love Harry Potter, which sometimes is a shock to people. I have two brothers and one sister. My sister just got married and my brother is getting married in a month. I just graduated high school, and being the youngest kid, I live alone at home with my mom and dad. But that is going to change in about a month, when I go on my mission, then when I get back I will be off to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I have gone to the LDS church my entire life and was baptized when I was eight. I gained a true testimony, however, when I was about fourteen. I had read the Book of Mormon with my family plenty of times before. This time I read it for myself. I read up until Moroni 10:4-5, or Moroni's promise: " And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." I read these words, and being filled with the Holy Ghost, I knelt down and prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I did not have a great vision or anything, but the prompting I felt was along the lines of, "You already know the answer to this. Yes."

How I live my faith

I just moved to the Young Single Adult Ward. Because I just moved there, I don't quite yet have a calling. But I do still home teach with my dad at my home ward.
