Hi I'm Jake

I was born and raised in Falcon, Colorado. I am an outdoor enthusiast. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Falcon, Colorado in a weird but awesome family. I grew up with little to no religious background. I was introduced to the LDS church by my wonderful friends when I was 17 and I started meeting with the missionaries shortly after. I had multiple defining moments that changed my life forever and pushed me to my decision to be baptized. I was baptized into the church on March 15th, 2015. I love doing pretty much anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking, you name it. I was a competitive runner for seven years. Both cross country and track. I love my life and I cant wait to see what the future holds.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the spiritual experiences that I have had that have testified to me that this church is in fact true. With the help of my friends and family I have come to know my heavenly father and Jesus Christ love me and that His true church has been fully restored to the earth. It gives me so much peace and joy knowing this gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my hardest to be a good example to those around me. Sure iv'e made my share of mistakes but that is ok. That is part of our condition as mortals. I live my faith by fully exercising the atonement of Jesus Christ and striving my best make sure that His sacrifice was not in vain. I also live my faith by doing my best to stick to my morals and beliefs even when they are challenged or aren't the "cool" thing to do. People notice that kind of thing and it gives a great opportunity to share your beliefs. I am currently serving a full time mission in Porto, Portugal.
