Hi I'm Brady

Mostly I'm just a goof. I like being alive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished high school and am about to serve an LDS mission in Kansas for the next two years. I am the youngest of five in my family. I have lived most of my life in Utah. I like hiking, camping, snowmobiling, and playing sports, especially football. Overall though, I just love spending time with my family and friends. Although I like to be active and such I also like being a nerd too. For example, I like things such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and history. I just love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up with the church all my life. I am grateful for amazing parents and family members who have helped guide me through the years. I have always believed what the Mormon church teaches is true. But, knowing I would have to leave for two years to serve a mission for the church and teach about it, I decided I better know for sure whether the church is true or not. I had to know for myself, not just because other people told me it's true. So, I decided to try Moroni's challenge in Moroni 10:3-5; which is praying to know the truth of the Book of Mormon. I had never tried it in my life for fear of not receiving an answer. Putting aside my fears, I read the Book of Mormon with a sense of purpose and then prayed to know if it is true or not. I immediately received my answer. While I was still praying I got the feeling that I knew it was true, and that I had known it was true for a long time. It was simple, but it was a powerful and amazing experience for me. I then knew, with absolutely no doubts, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and everything the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches is true. Now, no matter what comes, my faith cannot be shaken.

How I live my faith

Being a young man in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have had many opportunities to help and serve others. Although at times I have begrudged service opportunities, the last several years I have more fully come to appreciate just how much happiness serving others brings. I have received the great satisfaction from just getting to know and serve the people around me. I have found, especially among elderly individuals, that everyone has so many different challenges in their lives and so much can be learned from everyone. Now, I am glad for the opportunities I've had in the Mormon church to get to know many different people and try to help them in any way possible; for if I am not trying to help others get through this life, then what am I good for?
