Hi I'm Nikki

I grew up in Ogden Utah. I come from a family of 7. I love dance, music and meeting new people. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19 year old girl trying to figure out my next step in life. I just graduated from high school in 2015 and ended my third and final year on my high school drill team as captain. After I graduated I went to a year of college and joined a dance club for the university and was able to perform at some school events. I also took private harp lessons through the university trying to continue to keep my musical learning going. I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have recently decided to serve an LDS mission. Something I love is food. Especially treats. For example, most things chocolate, ice cream, and chocolate chip cookies. My favorite series I read was called Children of the Promise. And I love to try to stay fit and spend lots of time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because it is a joyful and hopeful message. From personal experience I have had times in my life where I have prayed and asked for answers or help or blessings in my life and I received exactly what I needed at the time. I know we have a Heavenly Father who watches over us and who knows each and everyone of us personally. He sent us to earth so that we could have a body and also have the opportunity to learn and grow so that we can return to live with him again. He sent his son Jesus Christ to atone for all the sins of mankind.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I attend church each Sunday for three hours and try to learn more about my Savior. We have lots of ward gatherings like breakfast on the fourth of July and Christmas morning, snack and lingering parties every few months after church, or service projects that have been fun to participate in and get to know others over the years. While I was attending my first year of college I decided that I wanted to serve an LDS mission. For women, a mission lasts 18 months or a year and a half. During this time we are asked to serve wherever the Lord and his prophets call us, devoting all of our time trying to share our gospel message with others. We read, study, serve, and pray everyday for those we encounter, members or non-members, to help them learn to come unto Christ. I have been trying to prepare these last few months by reading my scriptures and growing as I get ready to leave home and serve the people of Tampa Florida these next 18 months. I cannot wait to help and serve others and most importantly serve the Lord.
