Hi I'm Emily

I'm a quiet introvert who loves stories. I come from a big, wonderful family. I love Jesus. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm your pretty typical college freshman. Not quite sure what I want to do for a career, probably spending a bit too much time watching movies, and wondering how many times I can eat instant noodles before it starts making me sick. Of course, that's all been on hold as I've been preparing to go on a full-time mission. I love the rain and quietly reading books. I love big roller coasters with corkscrews and loops. Out of all the things I love it's my family and the gospel I love the most though.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents have been active members all their lives and my family has been in the Church for many generations. But this is not why I am a Mormon. I choose to be a Mormon because it brings me close to Jesus Christ. There was a time when I needed to start thinking about making big decisions in my life and I really realized that staying or leaving the Church would be my choice. During this time I became very aware of the personal love Jesus and my Heavenly Father had for me. Because of this love I choose to be a Mormon and try to be better. I want to be with them again and I want to make them proud. I know that being in the Church is the way I will start accomplishing that.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving as a full-time missionary. Before that, when preparing to go on my mission, I worked at the closest temple to me. Because of the time I spent there and the love I felt there I encourage everyone to make the Temple and the blessings there their goal. The temples are some of the best places on this earth. I go there as often as I can.
