Hi I'm Dalton Gaither

I am a Texan and a soccer player. I love the outdoors. I am serving my mission in Mexico City. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young man who grew up his entire life learning about God from his mother in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always loved helping others. I play soccer and I am always working. I have all brothers and we grew up very close but we had our challenges as well. My parents tried to guide and help me the best they could and I was consitently rebelious but their love and support has always been there. Right now I am serving a full time church mission in Mexico City.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was little my mother has always tried to teach me the Gospel of Jesus Christ and guide me on the path to know how to return to God, my Heavenly Father. We attended church every sunday, we read the scriptures at home and said prayers together daily. As I got older, in my teenage years, I began to search for myself the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ. My desire to search the truth came in the time of life when I had many trials and difficulties at school, in my family, and in my personal life. I had a desire to know that if the path I was trying to follow, that path that my mother and the church had taught me, was truly the path that God wanted me on. So my search for a testimony really started. I began to study the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, thoroughly, I began to pray personally every day to ask God for help to teach me and tell me what is true and I began to desire my salvation and to know if I could truly return to live with God. After months of searching, studying, listening to those around me, and praying, I remember that one of the nights that I was pooring out my heart to God, I felt a sudden peace and a soft hand upon my back as if God himself was telling me, "This is true, continue." I know that Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior and Redeemer. I know God loves me and has a perfect plan that I can return to live with Him and with my family for the eternities. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I have always been an active youth in my church. I was constantly planning activities for all of us to participate in and attending service projects. I have had the opportunity to lead and support other youth men my age by my example, friendship and love. I know the difference a friend can make so I have always tried to be that for other people around me.
