Hi I'm Maryella Fowler

I'm a Mormon and I am going to West Virginia to serve a mission. I want to share my love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am a mother of four wonderful children, one girl and three boys, and the grandmother of two girls and three boys. My husband and I are both retired teachers and enjoy working in the Manti Temple once a week. I love to read, do needlework, swim, and do genealogy. My husband and are getting ready to go on a mission to West Virginia to share the gospel with others.

Why I am a Mormon

From the time I was a little girl I loved the Lord and had a testimony of him. My mother was LDS but my father was Catholic. My father would not let my brothers and I join the church until we were adults, but at age 12 I talked him into letting me take the missionary lessons. He took the lessons with me, he did not join the church at that time but did allow me to join. I had gone to church from the time I was in primary and he knew I believed in the church. My father joined the church later in his life and said he wished he had joined earlier so our family could have enjoyed the gospel together. Both of my brothers also joined the church and were active until their deaths. When I was 18 I was in a serious motorcycle accident that should have taken my life. My mom called our Bishop and was given a blessing. I was in intensive care for 8 days. The doctors did not know if I would walk again or ever be able to have children because of the injuries I sustained. My uncle came from California and gave me a blessing that all would be well. I walked out of the hospital after 5 weeks and 5 days. I had to have many surgeries due to the accident but all was well. I know that the Priesthood blessing I received and my faith in the Lord was the miracle that healed me. I have had so many miracles in my life I can not tell them all. I just want to tell you that through the power of the Holy Ghost I have felt the spirit and it has testified to me the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he love each of us. I know that God the Father lives and that we are his children and he loves us. The Gospel brings me joy and peace during times of trials and time of joy and peace. I wish everyone could feel the love and peace the Gospel brings when we have the knowledge of the love of our Father and His son Jesus Christ. I can be found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive to do all that I can to live my religion. I work in the temple once a week, teach a Sunday school class for 14 and 15 year old students, I am the compassionate leader for funerals, and am on the Scout committee for our ward. I love to read the scriptures especially the Book of Mormon. I also love doing family history work and finding stories of my ancestors, and new family members.
