Hi I'm Allison

I'm a First Grade teacher. I'm a lover of all kinds of food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old. I spend 10 wonderful, frustrating, stressful, hilarious months of the year teaching 6 and 7 year olds how to read, write, do math, science, and to be good friends to each other. I love being a first grade teacher and am always surprised by the things they can come up with. When I'm not teaching or thinking about lesson planning, I love trying all kinds of things. I love hiking, reading, running, singing, playing piano, art, dancing, and listening to music. I also especially love trying new foods to eat or make. The one thing I love most though is being with my family of 5 girls and 1 boy. We all have our unique quirks and when we are altogether that is when it gets fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know and believe that this church has all of the correct truths. I have felt many times growing up that what I am doing is right and true. I am a Mormon because by following the teachings of this church I can be the happiest and I can reach my greatest potential through the love and help of God and Jesus Christ. I believe that our purpose in life is to become like God by serving and loving others. I am a Mormon because I get to be with my family forever!

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by always trying to remember to thank God and His son Jesus Christ for the wonderful things around me and for the blessings that I have received. I try to follow their example by showing love to those around me and serving whenever I can. I try to view my students the way that God does in that they all have so much potential to do good and to make something of themselves. I now have the amazing opportunity to share my faith by serving a mission in the beautiful country of Hungary. I am so excited to help the people of Hungary learn just how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love and care for them.
