Hi I'm Oakley

I grew up in Utah. I'm going to serve a mission in Brazil. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the second oldest of five children. My family is big in to sports, so I grew up playing soccer; played all throughout high school, and loved it! I also participated in different orchestras during high school, and like to play the violin. I love to be outside, and do anything outdoorsy, from snow skiing in the winter to camping, rock climbing, and hiking during the summers. After just graduating from high school, I now have the opportunity to serve a mission for the LDS church in São Paulo, Brazil. Following my mission, I have plans to go to nursing school at Brigham Young University Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life, my faith and testimony of the restored gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has definitely changed. But throughout those ups and downs I have also grown to know for myself that this Gospel is true. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith, and know that he really did see our Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ. I know that through the power of the Holy Ghost, and with help from our Father in Heaven, Joseph Smith was able to translate the Book of Mormon, and restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I do have a testimony of The Book of Mormon, and know that it truly is the word of God. I know that we do have a living prophet today, that can help lead and guide us. I know that we have a Father in Heaven who really truly does love us all. He loves us so much that He sent his son

How I live my faith

Aside from regularly attending church every sunday, I am now preparing to serve a mission for the LDS church. I have been called to the Brazil São Paulo Interlagos mission, where I will serve for 18 months.
