Hi I'm Ethan Kerr

I grew up in Holladay, UT. I love to be outdoors and be active. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I graduated from high school in May 2016. I love to wrestle, do Crossfit, hike, mountain bike, ski, swim (pretty much anything outdoors!!!), spike ball (a newly-found interest), and just sports in general! I have three awesome brothers and two very loving parents. I plan on attending the University of Utah after my mission to study engineering! I love to do service and do hard work. I love to exercise every single day (except Sundays) to stay fit and strong. I love to learn new skills, games, and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents are both faithful members and have been their whole lives! To be honest, I took the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for granted most of my life. My parents always told me that it was true and I believed them! It wasn't until I was about 16 years old that I found out that it was true. I was questioning whether God was real, whether the Church was true, and if I REALLY had any purpose in life other than to just live it. Despite all of these thoughts and uncertainties, I decided to pray to Heavenly Father if He was real, if this church was true, and what my purpose in life was. This was the only thing that I could think of to get answers because if God was real and Joseph Smith was a true prophet, I knew that God would give me an answer. And He did! I felt a great desire to be obedient because when I did, I could feel God's love for me. Every time I turned to Him when I was troubled or needed comfort, I would receive reassurance that He was there watching out for me and that he truly loved me. I always knew that if I could choose the right, I was making God proud, and that is all I ever want to do in my life. I truly love the Gospel and all of the blessings that come with being faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Never have I questioned the truthfulness of the Gospel since then. I know it, I live it, and you can be sure that I LOVE it!!

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I love to attend because of how good it makes me feel! I find peace, joy, happiness, and answers when I go to church. I received my mission call to serve in the Cotonou, Benin mission (that's in West Africa right in between Ghana and Nigeria) and I leave for the Provo MTC on August 24th! Serving the Lord and being obedient to His commandments is what makes me the most happy. When I am living the way he wants me to live, I feel at peace and it allows me to experience happiness that I don't feel at any other time in my life.
