Hi I'm Cole

I am from Iowa and I'm going on a mission to Moscow Russia. I love music and I started a rugby team in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school in your typical small town Iowa surrounded by corn and soybeans. I was born in Idaho, but moved here with my family when I was seven. I am the second youngest of seven kids, all within less than nine years of each other. The four oldest are recently married and my brother is finishing up a mission in Italy. I leave in a few weeks to begin my mission in Moscow, Russia. I love music. I sing, dance, and play the saxophone, piano, and guitar. I like almost any genre of music and its best played loud. In high school I particpated in cross country, swim team, track, soccer, and started a rugby team my senior year. I love rugby, but I pulled a hamstring early on and didn't get to play much. I enjoy woodworking and canoeing with friends. (The canoeing is with friends- most people don't seem to think woodworking is a great social activity.) I watch a lot of movies with my family. We also like Phineas and Ferb.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe when Jesus Christ was on earth, he established a church with complete and everlasting truth about everything. For a long time after he and the appointed leaders of the church were killed, the full truth was forgotten and lost, but not forever. I believe God and Jesus Christ came to Joseph Smith in the 1800's and taught him the full truth that had been lost. I am a Mormon because I believe this church is the only one actively led by Heavenly Father and it is the only one with the full truth about why we are here.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to keep God in my thoughts. If I do that, than I'm less likely to do anything He doesn't appreciate. I also try to help people, usually just by being their friend. Most people don't always need their yard raked or a stump pulled out, but everyone needs a friend. I live my faith by always trying to see good in people and being kind to them.
