Hi I'm Mark Jessele

I am a Filipino, a young man, and a college student. I am from the province of La Union. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student here at Baguio City. I love reading books, watching animes and movies. I am not a sporty person. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was nine years old. My family and I were converts to this church.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I were members of the Iglesia ni Cristo before we were baptized to this church. Until one day, the missionaries visited our home and taught my parents about the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. It was very hard for them, especially my mother, to accept it because there might be some criticisms from our former religion and from our own family. To cut the story short, they took courage and was baptized in the church. After some time, we were sealed in the temple as a family for time and eternity. I was baptized when I was nine years old. Honestly, one of the reasons that I was baptized is because my parents are members of the church. I am very happy that they were baptized in this church. As time goes by, I learned the importance of my baptism which is a constant reminder that I must attend sacrament meetings to renew my covenants. My reactivation to the church is the commencement of my conversion. I am a convert to the church but my conversion to the gospel is a long process and still hasn't ended yet.

How I live my faith

I was inactive for almost two years when I was 14. I was visited by the missionaries one night, after some visits I decided to attend church until it became regular. That was the time when I started working with the full-time missionaries. I work with the missionaries as frequent as possible. The missionaries helped me to have a firm testimony of the truth. In addition to that, I also do my best to have a regular scripture study and personal prayer. The book of Mormon is the source of my testimony. It helped me gain my testimony about the church, about prophet Joseph Smith, about the restoration, about the priesthood, and about the living prophet Pres. Thomas S. Monson.
