Hi I'm Andres Martinez

Utah born, Florida raised. I love music, art, and culture. California, Long Beach mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

HELLO! My name is Andres, I'm 21 years old and currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in California. I love music with a passion and play Guitar, Ukulele, and I love to sing. As for sports, I like Soccer, Rugby, SoftBall, and VolleyBall. I love the outdoors, camping and being close to nature. Aside from the gospel, family means the most to me. I truly cherish this gospel and strive everyday to live according to the standards Jesus Christ has set for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church and have always believed in it's truth, from a very young age, I knew that God existed and I knew that he loved me. My mother became and widow when I was a little boy, through her example, I learned that if we stay faithful and strong and endure to the end, the Lord will bless you and guide you every step of the way. I can testify that I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father and that Jesus is the Christ and that this, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the true church, that this is the church that Christ established during his earthly ministry. I know that we have a living prophet leading and guiding this church under the direction of God, I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that he restored the true church of Jesus Christ. I am honored and proud to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being a missionary, I have grown so much since. serving a mission has been the best decision I have ever made, I have felt God's love for us, his children as I have taught others about this gospel. I love studying the scriptures everyday and sharing with others what I have learned.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Andres Martinez
During the Savior's earthly ministry, he established his church, called Apostles and gave them the priesthood. After Christ was crucified and his apostles were killed, the priesthood authority that lead this church was taken from the earth. Amos 8:11-12 states "11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it." there came a time when God saw that man was once again ready for a restoration, God chose Joseph Smith to restore Christ's church, and through the power of God he was able to translate the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith was also given the Priesthood authority to lead this church, Christ's church was once again restored here on the earth. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Andres Martinez
We believe that death cannot separate us from our loved ones. We believe that families can be together through the eternities in the presence of God the eternal father. Families are ordained of God, and sacred temple ordinances seal families together forever. Show more Show less
