Hi I'm Lindsay

I am a student at BYU studying Elementary Education. I love serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming but now I live in Utah. I am a Sophomore at BYU, but I will be putting school on hold for 18 months to serve in the Kansas Wichita mission! I love serving people and having a positive attitude! I enjoy playing the flute, going to the temple, quilting, snowmobiling, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

It would be easy to say that I am a Mormon because I was born into the church, but the answer really goes much deeper than that. As I have grown older I have had to consistently choose for myself to live as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have learned for myself that this is truly God's church on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and that through Joseph Smith they restored the church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have read it and prayed about it and I have felt the peaceful confirmation from the Holy Ghost telling me that it is true. I am a Mormon because I have seen the light that comes into my life as I am striving to live the principles of the Gospel. I know that we are children of God, and that He loves us perfectly. He has given me the strength I have needed to endure and to grow from the hardest trials I have experienced in my life. I know that He is always there for me, and that His plan is much greater than my own. This church has taught me about God's Plan of Salvation, which gives me perspective, purpose, and most of all, Hope. I am grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for is Atonement. Because of Him I can be washed clean from all of my sins, and I can become like my Heavenly Father. Because of Him I can live with my family forever. This church has brought me so much peace and joy in my life, and I wouldn't change that for the world. I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward. I have held several callings in my wards in the past, and I most recently served as the coordinator for a committee that was in charge of giving service to the sisters in our ward. I have also had the opportunity to be a visiting teacher. As a visiting teacher I was assigned to visit two of the sisters in our ward at least once a month, to be a friend to them and to be there to help them if they needed anything. Serving in my ward has given me many opportunities to apply the principles that this church teaches. I live my faith by sharing it with others! God has given me so many opportunities for me to help others by sharing my testimony. I have been called to serve in the Kansas Wichita mission and I will go into the Missionary Training Center on July 13th! I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the Gospel and to help others come unto Christ. I know that it will bring so much light into their lives! I live my faith by serving people around me. Christ has perfect love for everyone, and I strive to follow His example by developing Charity through service. There are always little opportunities to serve all around us! Even just a simple smile can bless someone's day. Through service I have become a kinder, more compassionate, and more loving person. As I live my faith and see the results that come from it my faith is strengthened even further.
